Bog 8 "simons death"

“yes it was, it was dark and simon just came out of the trees without warning us. We didnt know it was him, we all thought he was the beast. Jack knew. He wanted us to kill simon so he made us get really into the chant and into the dance so that he could tell us it was simon and that we all wanted to attack him. I dont think he did it on purpose. He was scared to. Simon was just screaming and like i said before it was all dark and the only light that we had was the light that came from the moon and the fire but they didnt really help out. Come on piggy. It was all dark there was no light and it was also pouring. We heard noises that came from the bushes and our first instinct was to go catch it and kill it. Im sure that no one had an idea that we had just gone over to kill one of our group members. Im pretty sure that jack found out it was simon but didnt want to tell anyone that it was him or they would hate him. Or maybe he was having fun. I dont think that we have to just go and attack him. He didnt do any thing. He was helpful and he did things that were right most of the time he wasnt even there and he didnt cause any trouble. He was very helpful specially with the littleuns. He helped with the things that we needed the most help in. i feel really bad for what i did and i cant believe that i was actually part of this insanity.
